Project Brief + Consultation


The first step for a successful design and fit out starts with our obligation free consultation and business analysis. At this time we come to understand your aims, needs and challenges, identify all requirements and restrictions and consider a holistic approach in solving them. Information we receive from you at this point will greatly assist in this task. If the proposed site is accessible / or occupied (ie refurbishment projects) we will conduct a site measure and analysis of existing services to assist with preliminary spatial plans. (Full site measure will also take place prior to any construction work)

 



 
 

Return Project Brief + Preliminary Costing + Planning


Based on our initial discussions and compiled information we will conduct a needs analysis and table you a scope of works and feasibility study for your project. Within this we will explore all regulatory and health department requirements and make recommendations based on these findings. From information provided we will draw on our expertise and experience to provide realistic costing in collaboration with you. This cost estimation will be itemised to give clarity and coordinate the design to meet your budget. Plan the project. Set preliminary time frames for each step of the process to provide a smooth, punctual delivery. This detailed works schedule will also consider external factors of outside consultant’s time frames, council approval process time frames etc.  

 



 
 

Concept + Spatial Design


Considering most decisions roots are economy based the importance of a well thought out spatial plan focusing on effective use of available space to maximise return is paramount for a well designed medical facility. To creatively use a site our design team is especially adept at identifying and shaping the most out of a given environment. Coupled with our inherent knowledge of how a medical facility functions and its medical equipment is implemented, the specific relationship needs of various functions within a facility are linked and considered. Therefore the ultimate plan in collaborations with our clients will serve the overarching requirements for a successful medical practice. Most medical facilities planned today consider the functionality of these practices as the most important aspect of design for the medical field. Whilst this is true the secondary consideration for any facility should be about how it makes the customers and health professionals working within it feel. Preliminary Design Review


Based on all consultations and collaborations as well as industry research and needs analysis a thorough examination of the projects objectives and proposals are discussed at this phase of the service delivery. The spatial plan is discussed and modified to include all requirements. This approved plan will be used for preparation of all services including hydraulics, electrical, gas and imaging equipment requirements. Also here is where discussions take place regarding minor details such as storage facilities and administration space requirements, staff needs and amenities. A critical look at the concept design and materials selections for suitability and versatility are considered and suitable proposals adapted.

 



 

Design Development+ Specifications + Consultants



Further refinement of ideas and plan are implemented in line with the preliminary consultation. A comprehensive package will be compiled for your signoff to proceed to the next phase. This package will incorporate services plans and final finishes and proposals for joinery items etc.. ie reception counter and furniture selections for waiting areas and offices.

 



 
 

Final Design Review + Adjustments


We provide you with this package in a detailed format for your sign off. Once again any final adjustments are considered at this point.

 



 
 

Documentation + Specification


A complete set of Construction Drawings incorporating Specifications and Schedules will be created and coordinated with consultants. This will include Floor Plans, Ceiling & Lighting Plans, Services Plans, Joinery documentation and specialist detailing..

 



 
 

Certification & Consultants


As part of our services we will liaise with the relevant consultants including hydraulic, structural, mechanical, fire and gas. Working closely with the required consultants a coordinated solution will be produced facilitating an efficient and economical design. Additionally applications to the relevant bodies for plumbing approval, certification and building approval will be handled by the expert project management team. Providing a seamless, and hassle free transition into the Fit out & Construction phase.




 



 
 

Fit out Construction Phase


An experienced and accomplished Site Foreman will produce a detailed and comprehensive construction timeline listing each phase of the fit out and construction timeline and relevant milestones. We will provide frequent updates and act as a point of contact for all activities taking place during this period as well as carrying out site inspections to maintain a consistently high quality of workmanship.

 



 
 

Compliance checks + Handover


At the completion of the construction process, we will handle inspections required for certification & fire safety certificates, and complete documentation and submission of the relevant safety certificates complying with the Australian Standards. A User Manual containing all relevant warranties and instruction manuals will be compiled allowing for an easily navigated reference for staff.
