Steps we take to achieve excellent designs for our clients
Obligation free design consultation and business analysis, here is where we get to know you, and receive your design brief (see FAQ for guidelines on how to provide the most helpful brief for the best design outcome)
We provide you with a detailed quotation based on your brief. This will be a summary of the design proposal, listing all aspects and extent of the works we will undertake. Quotation may be a fixed price per project or an hourly rate based fee structure, depending on the type of project, and involvement required from our team. We clearly outline our terms of trade and payment structure in this document.

A collaborative discussion of your brief takes place among our team members and consequently your project is assigned to one of our experienced designers for development.
The concept design will include preliminary sketches, colour and finishes selections based on budget constrains, include all elements required for function and space planning. All of the above areas will also be considered from the view point of developer/ lessor and authority requirements.
We make a concept presentation to you for approval to proceed with the design development. There is room for discussion about likes and dislikes at this point and we tailor the design to your needs and the refined brief will give direction to proceed to the next level of the process. This will also be the time to discuss in depth aspects of the project, and iron out specific details.
The approved concept gets a full make over with firmed finishes and appropriate detailing. At this stage (if relevant) we submit the design to developer/ lessor/ shopping centre for preliminary approval.
Documentation and Specification
Once the developed Design Concept is approved by relevant parties, the full documentation process takes place. This includes all technical drawings for construction, typically
• floor plan
• fixture plan
• reflected ceiling plan
• services plan
• shopfront and signage detailing
• internal elevations/ sections
• joinery and fixture details
• fixture/ fittings selections
• finishes schedule and sample board
This documentation will comply with all building codes and requirements and can be used for submissions to relevant authorities for approval (building certifier) and to other service providers as base information (hydraulic engineers, mechanical/ electrical engineers).
Administration of Approval Process
Throughout the approval process we are available for consultation to developers, certifier and if tendering to quote to shopfitters/ builders quoting the project. At this time we also liaise with all other technical service providers working on the project eg graphic designer, hydraulic engineer etc.
Issue of documentation
Once final payment has been made as per quotation, we issue design and documentation drawings for construction to client, and all relevant parties.
Project Follow Up
As part of our ongoing commitment we are available to assist through the building process of a project, and can perform final design check of built premises if required.
Ask us about the manufacture, on site installation and trade management arm of our business. We can provide full quotation of fit out costs based on a developed design.
