Design Gallery collaborated with the QBD to develop a new retail concept that reflects the brand’s history, originating as a book depositary in 1890s Brisbane. The first fitout, located in the Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, featured industrial elements such as concrete finishes, brick walls, display trolleys, pendant lighting and a historical collage of archival photos, creating a warehouse-inspired atmosphere. A custom mesh and exposed frame door system further reinforced the theme. Since then, Design Gallery has supported over 30 rollouts of this concept.
